Jessa Hughes has a MSc in plant science from the University of Saskatchewan where she studied plant breeding, genetics, landscape design and sustainability. She is the plant breeder for Vicia Genetics where she develops beautiful, edible, ornamental plants for the horticulture industry. In 2021 Jessa was featured in “100 years of Horticulture” at the University of Saskatchewan for this work. Her passion for beautiful sustainability carries over into her landscape designs.
Jessa has been creating beautiful custom landscape designs with a focus on sustainability since 2020. In 2024 she became a Faculty Lecturer at the University of Saskatchewan instructing horticulture and landscape design courses.
Consultations can be done online, or in person in the Saskatoon area. A portion of all profits from this work goes to a scholarship fund for the landscape design students at the University of Saskatchewan.
